Lecture: I have been asked to address the Kingsport Historical Society (TN) on the Muriel C. Spoden Collection on September 9, 2013 in the Chamber Building. Guest Blogger: Read my article on ETSU's MALS Writing Consultant blog. Commencement: I did it! I received my M.A. of Liberal Studies/Archival Studies degree on December 15, 2012. Big News: I have completed my Capstone Project. Based on the Spoden Collection, it explores ways to share genealogy on the Web. Events: I have been asked to participate on a student panel at the annual conference of the Society of Tennessee Archivists in Knoxville on October 16, 2012. Big News: Follow my Blog at Archiventures during my 5-week practicum at the Church History Library and Archives in SLC. Events: I will be presenting my research on Ancestral Narratives at the Regional Graduate Liberal Studies Conference at ETSU on April 21, 2012. Award News: I have been named the recipient of the Service Projects that Enhance the Public Good Award by the ETSU School of Graduate Studies for my work on the Spoden Collection. I made a movie: Kingsport Archives Muriel C. Spoden Collection. Events: I received a scholarship from the Society of Tennessee Archivists and will participate in a panel discussion on "Roots: Unearthing Family History" on October 27th, 2011. |
